Tuesday, August 21, 2018

Over the next few months, we’re thrilled to introduce you to several collaborators that will take part in our first ever wellness event the NEAT Retreat – a wellness event in San Francisco. With our expert guest speakers, NEAT will show you how being organized can be the catalyst for endless positive change in many aspects of your life. When you live organized, there is much more space for living well in other areas of your life and we are going to show you exactly how to make simple changes that have huge impact.

We are honored to now introduce you to our friend Lane Kennedy who will be sharing her expertise as a health and wellness advocate during the retreat.

Please introduce yourself to the NEAT community.

Hi. I’m Lane Kennedy, from San Francisco, born here, still here. Fourth generation. In my time on this planet, I’ve lived a lot of life. I’ve explored at least 150 different realms of what life has to offer. I believe life is an equal opportunity employer, it gives us all the same 24 hours, right? I’ve chosen to live mine to its fullest, I’m in every second of the day, and I grab the opportunity to feel every waking breath, in each moment I can either be present or not! I’ve learned that presence of mind, and deep listening can transform decisions that change life.

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to create a couple of successful companies, coach women in the startup world, help women define and rehabilitate their health; explode their wealth, and I’ve become a wife and a mama.

I’ve travelled and lived all around the world, eaten beetles for lunch, climbed pyramids to see the sun set, helped women get off the streets of sex slavery, learned about dairy farming in Italy and survived food poisoning in Laos!

I spend most of my days now hanging out with my son, beekeeping, hunting for beautiful rocks and sharing the power of detoxification. When we take the junk out of the body we gain our health and happiness. We all have one chance, one shot at experiencing everything this world and life has to offer, so my thoughts are, play big or go home!

What space of your home is the most organized? Why?

I would have to say my office closet. It’s the keeper of all good things, from delicious smelling candles to holiday cutlery, my hemp oil and a couple of detox kits. I keep this space super organized, I’m not sure why, but I do know that I absolutely love opening the doors to this space and recognizing the organization. Overall our house is fairly organized, except for my son’s room where I’m off limits!

What does organization mean to you in your profession?

Everything. I have to track clients, orders, hormonal cycles even feelings… If I’m not on top of keeping everything organized I can lose not only my mind, but clients, and orders. Not GOOD!

What’s one space you are excited about learning about how to organize at the NEAT Retreat and why?

My closet, which is pretty organized already, but I can’t wait learn more about creating a capsule wardrobe. I love this concept, it totally works with my philosophy of brain power. Less thinking equals more brain capacity towards more important tasks, and events in my life! Not shuffling through a closet trying to figure out what to wear, not a good use of my brain power.

Can you tell our readers a little bit about a current project you’re working on.

Over at FeelTheUpgrade.com I’ve co-created with other wellnesspreneurs a 21 day experience called, REST. RESET. REVIVE. Who doesn’t want to REST these days? Every single woman I know is looking for more ways to connect and feel good in her body, gain more sleep and shed a few pounds. We created this experience to be super easy, educational and supportive. The RESET experience is all about letting go of toxins that are stored in your body from too much coffee, delicious sushi, extra estrogen from beauty products, and even that yummy buttered popcorn that you eat every so often at the movies, all those toxins build up and block us from our best selves. These toxins hold weight on us, cause us to be “moody” (depressed!) and set us up for autoimmune issues… like hashimoto’s disease, type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, hives, celiac, MS, alopecia, and so many more. This project is life changing and I love being a part of it, I love to witness women change their bodies and the conversation they have about their health and wealth. When you fix the mind, the body changes which allows everything else to follow. We have weekly coaching calls (and so much more) that are deep and insightful allowing each client to REVIVE her life!
