The #1 Reason We are Excited to be Back in this City....
We are beyond thrilled to announce we are re-launching our Dallas market and we could not have found a better gal to take the reigns on doing so! Not only is she one of the NEATest we've ever met, but she's also a born and raised Texas girl that holds her Dallas roots near and dear to her heart! Please join us in welcoming our newest NEAT girl, Margaret Brown!
So let's dive right in and get to know her...
N :: Ok, Margaret, what did you do before you decided to launch NEAT Method in your town?
M :: I managed a team of consultants at a fashion tech company in Dallas. It was an incredible experience to be a part of a company in their start-up phase and to see it grow into a International business with hundreds of employees worldwide.
N :: How long have you lived in Dallas?
M :: 26 years! I grew up in Dallas, stayed for undergraduate and was lucky to find incredible professional opportunities in my hometown.
N :: What would you say makes Dallas a unique city?
M :: The thing I love so much about Dallas is that while it is a large, growing metropolitan area there are little pockets throughout the city that are so cozy and quaint. Even though I've lived in Dallas for my entire life, I still discover new areas that I never knew existed before and am amazed at how much I still have left to explore.
N :: What are your favorite places to shop in your city?
M :: Great question! Dallas has INCREDIBLE shopping (one of the many reasons I see no need to ever leave). Neiman Marcus, is headquaretered in Dallas so the stores here have great selections. I also love walking around the shops in Highland Park Village. They recently opened an Alice + Olivia Boutique and a Draper James store in Highland Park Village, which are both like kryptonite for me. Also, I have become obessed this past year with a local brand, Mi Golondrina. Everything is hand-made in Mexico, and has the most exquisite embrodiery!
N :: That all sounds amazing! What about favorite places to eat?
M :: One of the other main reasons I never see a need to move away from Dallas is the food. One of my all-time favorite lunch spots is the T-Room at Forthy Five Ten. For dinner, it is hard to go wrong with Tex-Mex and Mi Cocina or Mesero are my go-tos.
N :: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?
M :: I am excited about so many things! Mostly, I cannot wait to bring the NEAT lifestyle to Texas, and to get started on some fun projects. They say everything's bigger in Texas, and I know this will ring true for the before and after transformations we have in store here!
N :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?'
M :: I am a big believer that your home should be your haven and disorganization doesn't lend to a serence space. My clients can expect me to bring this philosophy to each project in Dallas. I'll be focused on creating the best possible spaces based on each client's individual needs in order to make their homes somewhere they can relax and unwind!
N :: Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?
M :: I wish!
N :: What is your favorite product to use to organize things:
M :: I LOVE baskets. I especially love the water hyacinth bins from The Container Store. I have them all over my house storing everything from cleaning supplies to dvds, books and beauty products.
N :: What blog do you think we NEED to follow now and why?
M :: Oh this is a great question for me! I used to work as a business consultant for digital influencers (primarily fashion bloggers), so I have a few I really admire.
- If you don't follow Jillian Harris, you must! She has incredible content (fashion, baby, interior, beauty, etc!) and her writing is so entertaining and authentic.
- I also can get wrapped up in New York based, A Cup of Jo. Joanna's content is so evergreen for women of any age and walk of life, that I can spend hours pouring through old posts in one sitting.
- I also love all of our local Dallas bloggers like Being Bridget, Lone Star Southern, Lo Murphy and The Style Scribe.
N :: What business do you admire and why?
M :: I really admire female entrepreneurs who are changing entire industries based on innovative, exciting ideas. I have been lucky to work with and for many incredible female entrepreneurs like the NEAT founders, and am so inspired by how through hard work and dedicationg amazing ideas can become tangible realities. Two female-founded companies with ties to Texast that I really admire right now are Bumble and Outdoor Voices. I would love to pick both founders' brains and hear their stories on starting and building revolutionary companies at such a young age.
N :: We love all of those 'must-follow' stories! Thanks for sharing! Anything else you'd love to share with our readers about yourself?
M :: My dog, Gracie, is my very favorite thing in the entire world! She was a stray that I rescued as a puppy on a complete impulse. It was one of the best decisions I ever made!
Come on...could you be any cuter?!?! We are so, so happy to welcome you into our NEAT family and can't wait to see what BIG things you do in Dallas. They sure are lucky to have you!
Friends, Family and Followers, if you know of anyone that needs organizing in the area or that wants to be considered for Margaret's team, please do not hesitate to reach out!
