As most of you know, this week's Tip Tuesday (on Instagram stories) was about all things kids! Since many of you all asked many of the same questions, we wanted to make sure we thoroughly answered them for you. We thought it would be beneficial to share a little more about the best practices to keep kids organized.
Up first, the dreaded lego situation. We get it! It's such a love/hate because on one hand you feel it's educational for your kids, but on the other...you freak out every time you step on one that was left on the floor. For starters, we try to encourage you to not buy as many as you do. That really is the #1 contributor to the problem! Hate to say it, but we see it all the time. Too many options for your kids that they play with for one day and then move on to the next. You have every ability to set the stage with stuff like this. Try to get them to rebuild the same set or find a friend to swap with.
Then, in terms of the actual organizing we just recommend designating a spot in your home to actually keep them (ie. the kids room who has the lego obession). You can then use a shelving area to store the necessary bins. Clear plastic bins can be stacked on top of eachother to utilize the vertical height or you can get a set of drawers to put all of them in. Once the lego set is constructed, make a rule that he or she can only keep so many up in their room. If they run out of space, it's time to break and rebuild or donate to make room for new ones.
The second most asked question is how to keep kids clothes properly arranged in a drawer. If you watched our story, we walked you through how easy it is to file the small clothes into a row. You essentially just have to fold them twice and file...

Over the long holiday weekend, we had much time to catch up on some of our own to do lists! Outside of purging expired spices and meds, we found time to just relax and get lost surfing the world wide web! Who knew there were so many amazing things to look at?!? As you know, we absolutely love the Container Store...but what you may not know, is that we equally love searching for things that you aren't seeing all over the place. We thought it would be fun to share our latest top 3 products that we think you all should know about.

Mudrooms and Laundry Rooms tend to be a place where everyone just plops their school backpacks, shoes, gear, etc. and then go about their day. If you live in Colorado, like our girl Allo Perry, your mudroom most likely looks like a small REI showroom, but not if you've had Allo over to organize. Here is a sneak peak at one of her recent projects, as well as, her tips on keeping even one of the most cluttered spaces in your home tidy!

One of my favorite things about being a NEAT Girl is having the opportunity to work and collaborate with all our Girl Bosses across the country! Even though we don’t see each other everyday we are constantly chatting, sharing advice, support, and a lot of laughs along the way.
Living in Dallas, I also have made incredible friends with other female entrepreneurs located in my hometown! A few of the Dallas ladies I love connecting with are Lizzy Chesnut from CITY Boots, as well as Ali Barshop & Meg Jones from To & From Gifts. I am so inspired by how they have followed their passions and built their companies, that I couldn't help but share a few of their tips and advice for becoming a Girl Boss!
Thank you all so much for taking the time to chat with me! First off, can you tell us a little about your companies and where to find you?
