In honor of our girl, Katie Koentje we thought it would be fun to revisit this post from a few years ago since so many of you loved it. She just had her second baby boy last night (Grayson George) and we could not be more thrilled to welcome another NEAT baby into our world. Much love Katie B! Enjoy all of those sweet baby cuddles. xx your NEAT family
With our San Diego Hot Momma, Katie B due in just a few short weeks, we can’t help but jump for joy knowing the NEAT Team is about to have another cute little man added to the line up!
In honor of our soon-to-be, NEAT new boyfriend, we are taking a peek inside the little nugget’s adorable nursery!
How perfect is this nautical themed nursery? The white washed surf plaques and wood plank nautical art are such a soft and subtle way of bringing the sea indoors!
The crib and changing table are from Pottery Barn – the Fillmore Collection – and Katie B can’t get enough of it! “It is exactly what I envisioned my baby sleeping in!”
Other small touches Katie B was sure to include in the perfect nursery for her son: a nautical boat light switch plate cover, a DIY burlap Toys bin, High Seas musical mobile, and a Dream Big Whale Pillow!
Now that we’ve seen how amazing the nursery decor is, let’s get to the best part…how did Mrs. Organized Mom organize the nursery??
She designated bigger baby items to live in the closet, including: blankets, swaddles, and adorable accessories like shoes and bowties!
And let’s take a peek inside those drawers!
Katie B designated the top drawer for the most used baby items of all, diapers & wipes! The second drawer is filled with additional items also used on a daily basis regular – changing pads and nursing pads. Basically, any items that need to be grabbed quickly when baby is hungry or needs a diaper change asap!
She also implemented one of NEAT Method’s favorite tricks — folding and filing the clothes in drawers! Rather than the typical drawer situation of piling one item on top of another…this way, both Mom & Dad can dress baby quickly while also changing up the wardrobe! No more putting baby in the same NEAT onsie day after day (as much as we’d like that) 😉
An added bonus to keep baby clothes organized in the drawer is to implement linen drawer organizers! These can also be used as baby grows. Laslty, it’s important to designated specfic drawers for specfic ages, making it easy to transition down the road.
August 11th can’t come soon enough for Mom, Dad, and all his soon-to-be NEAT girlfriends!
xx
