Intentional Interiors featuring Lindye Galloway

Thursday, April 14, 2022

When it comes to the home, we might be considered professionals in the pantry, but we prefer to leave the decorating to the real experts: interior designers. Our friend and Orange County, CA based designer, Lindye Galloway, recently shared insight on how to recreate her modern and polished California designs. Get the look with tips, furniture, and accent pieces for a space that combines form and function.

SOFT MODERN

Capture the essence of a soft modern design by executing straight lines, neutral colors, and minimal decor.

Tip: With an open room, be sure to create a focal point such as a beautiful chandelier and arched built-ins to draw your eye throughout the space.

TENNESSEE SOUTHERN CHARM MEETS CALIFORNIA CHIC

Utilize coastal and natural elements like muted leather tones and wood, with a hint of metal to resemble a southern charm meets California chic style.

Tip: Design cabinets at the base of an entertainment wall with open shelves for styling on either side to provide form and function within the space.

ORGANIC VILLA

With a ‘less is more’ approach, one can create this design by expanding on the organic curves and natural light within the home, using a cool neutral color palette, and adding layers of luxury textiles.

Tip: Don’t be afraid of neutral texture! By bringing in complementary tiles and woods, you can bring visual interest to a room in a subtle yet put-together manner.
