Over the past three years, our South Florida organizers have been hard at work creating NEAT homes all across the Southern Florida region. So much so, that they no longer can handle all of their amazing NEAT clients on their own. We are thrilled to announce that Florida now has two NEAT girls to keep things as NEAT as possible down in the Sunshine State. After months of searching for the right girl to expand Miami, Marissa found the perfect candidate! This new NEAT girl will be organizing homes in Brickell, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, The Florida Keys, Key Biscayne, Kendall, Palmetto Bay and Pinecrest and we couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity. We won’t keep you on the edge of your seats any longer, please meet our newest NEAT girl!
NM:: Tatiana, we are beyond thrilled to add you to our team this year. Tell our readers a little bit about why you are excited to become a NEAT girl!
TB:: My name is Tatiana Blanco and I am ecstatic about becoming a NEAT Method girl. As the saying goes “Think Globally, Act locally”, everyone in today’s world knows what it is like to live a hectic life, which means most do not have time to organize their home to its fullest potential. I want to bring NEAT to all of those homes in my beautiful, sunny, palm tree lined backyard – Miami!
NM:: That is awesome! What did you do before you ran NEAT?
TB:: I owned a baking business in the Canary Islands, Spain. Yes cupcakes, cakes, desserts galore! Lots of beautifully labeled flour, sugar and sprinkles bins where my best friends!
NM:: SPAIN – how cool! So what brought you to Miami?
TB:: I grew up in Miami, got married here and then spent 8 years living in the amazing Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. We returned last summer and are excited to raise our family in Miami!
NM:: Well, we sure are glad you moved back! What do you you think makes Miami so unique?
TB:: Miami has Latin flavor in its veins! It is in constant growth…a huge tourism Capital that’s always surprising us with something NEW to SEE and DO! The events calendar of this city can be overwhelming!!! It’s a vibrant playground where you are always inspired by the melting pot of people from around the globe who call this their home.
NM:: We couldn’t agree more. Now that you are back, which shopping spots and restaurants are you most excited to be near again?
TB:: Definitely Lincoln Road. You can shop, eat, people watch, hear some music and even grab a cocktail here – what else could you ask for?! I also love Smith & Wollensky, mainly for the amazing terrace setting next to the ocean, Joe’s Stone Crab, Coyo Taco in Wynwood and Casa Cuba!
NM:: Yum! All of those spots will certainly be a great treat after a day of organizing. What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?
TB:: I am excited to infect people with the NEAT bug. Once my clients experience the process of purging, simplifying and finding better functionality in their home, I know their lives will be transformed. I am excited to be able to bring that peace and balance into the lives of others.
NM:: That is definitely one of the best parts of this business. Are there any other businesses in Miami that you are currently admiring, and why?
TB:: I admire start-ups. We Work Miami is a co-working space that builds a community of entrepreurs. Their members get to share a beautiful working space and are able to connect and work together with other people who are part of a start-up. I just love that!
NM:: Okay you knew it was coming, can you show us a picture of your least organized space and tell us what it is that went so terribly wrong?
TB:: This is my purse change-over drawer…it is always in constant chaos as much as I try to keep it pretty!!! I change purses almost daily so this is where I dump all my stuff and pick what I need for that day.
NM:: Now you can redeem yourself. What is your most organized space and why do you love it?
TB:: This is my Yoga/Workout drawer. It’s the first drawer I open every morning, so I like to see all my options well laid out for me to quickly choose and get going!
NM:: This has been so great! Are there any hidden talents you have that we haven’t uncovered yet?
TB:: I can bake you an amazing Key Lime Pie (or cupcakes) and also make a killer margarita. And, I must admit that sometimes my kids and husband find me doing my advanced Yoga Inversions at home and wonder if I joined Cirque Du Soleil.
NM:: Haha well you can certainly make us a Key Lime Pie anytime you would like!
Thank you for sharing a bit about the woman behind Miami! We are so happy we found you and look forward to seeing all of the NEAT things you do in 2016! Welcome to the team.
