Please join us in welcoming our newest owner to Los Angeles - specifically the South Bay – Nicole Longo! Nicole was an organizer for NEAT Manhattan Beach before making the transition to owner. Read more about her to see what a great addition she is!
NM :: Why do you want to run NEAT in your city?
NL :: I’m so excited to expand NEAT to the South Bay. There are so many beautiful homes here with a variety of interior designs that the NEAT product line will complement perfectly. I’m a true believer that an organized space can bring a sense of calm and happiness into your home, and I can’t wait to do that for others who want that lifestyle but might be too busy or too overwhelmed to make it happen for themselves.
NM :: What did you do before NEAT?
NL :: Before NEAT, I held senior marketing roles at Sony Pictures and Paramount Pictures where I launched marketing campaigns for major franchise films like Spider-Man, Jumanji and Shrek! I also spent some time in tech as the head of a marketing team at Snapchat.
NM :: What makes your city unique?
NL :: The South Bay has a true community vibe with well-connected social and professional circles and beachfront real estate. South Bay locals are a mix of families, executives, and professional athletes. It also borders Silicon Beach, home to many tech companies. Everyone has an interesting story and is connected to someone you might know. The year-round sunny weather lends itself to lots of walkable, outdoor shopping and dining areas. The LA Kings are also here. Go Kings Go!
NM :: How long have you lived in your city?
NL :: I’ve lived in Los Angeles for 15 years and the South Bay area for 11 years, specifically Playa Vista. I love how friendly the community is with walkable access to coffee, dining, groceries and dog parks. I also love that I can walk my kids to school and bike to the farmers market on Saturdays. I’m 5 minutes from the beach and a short drive to the outdoor centers at Marina Village, Manhattan Beach Pier and The Point in El Segundo.
NM :: What are your favorite places to eat in your city?
NL :: I love the food scene in Manhattan Beach. Some of my favorites are oldies but goodies: SLAY for steak & red wine, The Bottle Inn for Italian, Iza-Kaya for sushi, Manhattan Beach Post for brunch, and Love & Salt for date night! The Bull & Butterfly is also an elevated dinner spot in Playa Vista with amazing cocktails.
NM :: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?
NL :: I’m a huge fan of the NEAT product line for both functional and aesthetic reasons. I’m looking forward to the instant gratification on a client’s face when they see how NEAT products can create a sustainable system while also elevating the visual design of the space.
NM :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?
NL :: I’ve had a lot of experience working with high-profile clientele and understand discretion is of utmost importance. I love solving a good puzzle and have a knack for visual spacing and merchandising. When you hire me to organize your home, you can be sure thoughtful planning, creativity, and attention to detail and aesthetics will be prioritized.
NM :: What is your favorite organizing product?
NL :: LABELS! I’m obsessed with labeling and own 3 different label makers. I believe labels are critical to maintaining an organized space. It keeps you honest about what goes where, and helps everyone in the household follow the system - kids, spouses, and housekeepers too!
NM :: Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?
NL :: I enjoy replicating gourmet recipes at home and practicing my plating skills. I’ve taken a few cooking classes (knife skills was my favorite) and am familiar with a wide variety of ingredients, appliances and gadgets, which makes kitchens and pantries my favorite spaces to organize.
Sounds like we might have to put you to work in the kitchen one of these days ;) Congratulations on launching Los Angeles - South Bay. We’re so excited to have you join NEAT as an owner!
xx
