We want to welcome Lindsey Jones of Knoxville, Tennessee to the NEAT team. We are thrilled to have her. Let’s find out more about what makes her so NEAT.

NM :: Why do you want to run NEAT in your city?

LJ ::  I have fallen in LOVE with everything Neat, and couldn’t be more honored and excited to own Neat Method Knoxville! There is something so inspiring and motivating about being part of a strong community of women and being able to provide a much needed service to the residents of Knoxville. I have always loved Interior Design- as I love a well thought out and beautiful space. There are so many components that go into the design of a space, whether that be architecture, the decorations, or the organization/function. Through all those remains a creative process and Neat Method allows me to fill that creative void with making spaces aesthetically pleasing to the eye and functional while allowing others to spend more time doing the things they love! Being a creative person myself I thrive with organization and function, and I want to help others make that a priority as well!  I have to pinch myself as a reminder that my dream of owning a business has come true and I am thrilled to share all things Neat with the Knoxville community!

NM :: What did you do before NEAT?

LJ ::  I have been fortunate to spend the last 3 years being a mother to my precious son, and on the side I worked a few days a week for a local interior designer doing organization projects.  Prior to that I spent 12 years working in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sales so needless to say I am thrilled to have found Neat Method and it truly doesn’t feel like work when you are doing something you LOVE!

NM :: What makes your city unique?

LJ :: Knoxville is such a special place to me and so many people who call it home---  being the largest city in East Tennessee it still has that small town feel and southern charm the South is known for. Knoxville is also considered a college town with the University of Tennessee located here (GO VOLS!) As a result so many people plant their roots here from college, or via job opportunity, or retirement due to being so close to the lakes and mountains. The location alone is appealing because of the short drive to other large metro cities like Nashville, Charlotte, and Atlanta. The vibrant downtown area with restaurants, parks, and music/theatre venues appeals to people of all ages and the expansive suburbs make the community here. It really is a special place to raise a family or a great place to getaway to for some fun and adventure!

NM :: How long have you lived in your city?

LJ :: Born and Raised in Knoxville,  and then attended the University of Tennessee for college, and later met my husband who is also from Knoxville where we have settled down and are raising our family.

NM :: What are your favorite places to eat in your city?

LJ :: I love to go out to eat so I frequent lots of good staples here  but I enjoy going downtown to eat dinner at one of the many wonderful restaurants that we have or rooftops to enjoy cocktails. My go to’s are Chez Gueverra (La Paz) if you know...you know! Savelli’s, Abridged, Northshore Brasserie, and for date nights charcuterie and sour beer tastings at the Oak Room is always fun! For special occasions or special date nights we enjoy going to Foothills Milling Company in Maryville- this place is to die for!

NM :: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?

LJ :: First off meeting new people and developing lasting relationships with clientele!  But also helping others with anything whether it be a well executed and organized move, or getting any space small or large organized and functional. I know that seeing the satisfaction and joy from a happy client once a job is complete will truly be a favorite!  Additionally I am overjoyed with the thought of controlling my own destiny and doing something that I love everyday!

NM :: Show us a picture of your most organized space and tell us what it is.

LJ :: My most organized space is definitely my pantry. We were fortunate to renovate our kitchen almost 2 years ago and I found that my pantry cabinets were constantly a mess. I was buying the same things repeatedly because I never knew what I had, and I found myself not being able to find items when I needed them. In my reorganization efforts  I purchased baskets, labels, several clear airtight bins for dry goods, crackers, chips, etc. and  clear bins for boxed items such as pasta, sauces, snack packs. Additionally spinning racks and risers help keep the can goods and bottle goods organized so that  everything has its place. It makes life so much easier and it's pretty to look at! Bonus that my child knows where to find  his snacks and also nice for us when packing lunches and snacks on the go!

NM :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?

LJ :: Most importantly  they can expect to work with a team where integrity and discretion are the forefront, as I know it is a privilege to be in people’s homes…. No client should ever be embarrassed about the current state of their space as life happens! And that's what I am here for… as you can expect a  professional approach to making your space fresh and functional while being easy to maintain.

NM :: Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?

LJ :: I have been told I am a great cook as I love to try new recipes and create experiences around dishes and occasions! I try to think of everything and hope to do more of this as I love hosting a gathering! Otherwise, I was a competitive clogger for several years during my childhood so I have been known to clog in my day for my girlfriends when they play Rocky Top or Dixieland Delight, ha!

That's amazing! Sounds like you're going to have to treat us to a little clogging number. Congratulations on launching Knoxville. We’re so excited to have you join NEAT!

xx
