We want to welcome Kellie Sears of Lexington, Kentucky to the NEAT team. We are thrilled to have her. Let’s find out more about what makes her so NEAT.
NM :: Why do you want to run NEAT in your city?
KS :: First and foremost, I LOVE to organize! I never dreamed I could turn that passion into a career. I cannot wait to get into client homes to create the peace of mind & efficiency that comes with an organized life! I love my city for many, many reasons but most of all for its invaluable support for local businesses. I can’t wait for NEAT to be a part of that.
NM :: What did you do before NEAT?
KS :: For a few years post-grad, I worked in the Governor’s Office at the capitol & absolutely loved my time there. Most recently, I entered the world of home & commercial security working at Silent Guard, my husband’s multi-generational family business.
NM :: What makes your city unique?
KS :: Bourbon, Horses & Basketball. Need I say more?
NM :: How long have you lived in your city?
KS :: Three years, but it’s no doubt My Old Kentucky Home! I’m never going back North :)
NM :: What are your favorite places to eat in your city?
KS :: Harry’s hands-down, but we love to eat at any of BHG’s restaurants because they are such a Lexington staple. Downtown, I can’t pass up a Sweet Lil’ Pig & mimosa brunch from Carson’s! When it comes to pizza, Goodfella’s is the absolute best. And if I’m feeling fancy, Jeff Ruby’s serves a meal like no other!
NM :: Show us a picture of your most organized space and tell us what it is.
KS :: Our kitchen, but more specifically the drawers! We have a pretty small kitchen so in order to keep my sanity, these have to stay in tip-top shape.
NM :: What about your least organized space? What the heck happened?
KS :: The garage! This is definitely my husband’s happy place, so when it comes to this space, I try to leave his “methods” alone :)
NM :: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?
KS :: Not so surprisingly, I am a perfectionist so I live for the gratification & pride you get from a good before & after space, so I think that will be my favorite part of running NEAT here in Lexington. I also can’t wait to meet and form relationships with future clients - Central Kentucky is filled with so many inspiring individuals and I can only hope that I will learn from everyone I encounter through NEAT!
NM :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?
KS :: A judgement free and efficient experience, each and every time. A little time & organization goes a long way, so don’t be overwhelmed if you think your space can’t be helped! The end goal is always to make your life easier.
NM :: Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?
KS :: I will win in any hula-hoop competition, guaranteed.
