We want to welcome Erica Abrams of Los Angeles - Northwest, California to the NEAT team. We are thrilled to have her. Let’s find out more about what makes her so NEAT.
NM : Why do you want to run NEAT in your city?
EA : Los Angeles is my hometown! Having worked for NEAT Method as a lead organizer for the past year, I can honestly say that the work that we do changes lives. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing the surprise and smiles across your clients face when they see the transformation of their space. I believe in this inspiring brand and want to continue to expand the NEAT life to my community.
NM : What did you do before NEAT?
EA : Before joining NEAT, I taught K-2 elementary. I loved working in the classroom and met so many wonderful families and friends along the way. I’ve also had the experience of working as an Executive Coordinator within the entertainment industry. From organizing busy executives and their offices to maintaining an active classroom, I’d say organizing is very much in my wheelhouse!
NM : What makes your city unique?
EA : Los Angeles is a thriving and vibrant city full of art and culture, incredible year-round weather and outdoor recreation, amazing views of the ocean, and some of the best dining and entertainment around. There are people from all socio-economic classes and various walks of life found here. This mixture of different cultures, beliefs, social status and more, makes my city one of the most uniquely diverse cities in the world.
NM : How long have you lived in your city?
EA : I’m a Los Angeles native! I was born in the South Bay, grew up in the West Valley and have spent most of my adult life on the Westside. I love my hometown because there is always something new to discover, it is filled to the brim with creative people, and that translates to the businesses here being unique and trend forward.
NM : What are your favorite places to eat in your city?
EA : The Los Angeles food scene is certainly eclectic and there are so many amazing restaurants to try. A personal favorite of mine is this little hole in the wall restaurant on the Westside called Don Antonios. I love good Mexican cuisine and they never disappoint! Malibu Seafood or The Reel Inn are great choices for seafood. Everything is fresh and the patio views of the ocean can’t be beat. Jon & Vinny’s is also a favorite of mine for all things pizza and pasta! Most weekends I’ll frequent the Palisades and Brentwood Farmers Market for fresh fruits, vegetables and breads to take home. I LOVE to cook and it’s fun to find the perfect ingredients from our local vendors.
NM : What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?
EA : Our environment has such an impact on our mood and outlook. I truly believe that creating peace and balance in your home can lead to a happier and healthier life. I’ve been fortunate to meet such wonderful clients through our work and I’m really looking forward to continuing to bring the NEAT life to my community.
NM : What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?
EA : I take pride in meeting clients where they are and creating customized home organization systems. We offer luxury services free of judgment and with sincere care for the well-being of our clients while minimizing stress in their lives. I will ask the right questions and pay attention to every detail along the way!
NM : What is your favorite organizing product?
EA : Baskets and bins! These are the quintessential organizing products. I use baskets and bins in all shapes and sizes and for countless purposes. Stacking ones are even better because they enable you to maximize vertical space!
NM : Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?
EA : I have a talent for event planning! I come from a family of entertainers and have learned from the best! I have a passion for all things organization and a love of people that makes throwing a party a breeze. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing joy on people's faces as they celebrate a special occasion that you have helped to plan!
