We love showing finalized NEAT spaces on our Instagram feed, but what we love even more is telling the stories of how our clients are living more efficiently in their newly organized homes.

Take a look at this drop zone organization to see what makes it so NEAT!

City : Houston, TX

Professional Organizers Dominique Caskey

Interior Designer Marie Flanigan Interiors

Client : Marie Flanigan

Hours to complete : 8 hours with 2 organizers

Objective : Marie and her family had just completed their stunning personal home. She had designed amazing storage for both of these areas and wanted to be sure they were utilized in the best way. These are hubs for her three kiddos, her own grab and go drop zone, as well as essentials for the entire family and gift wrap so we wanted to bring a functionality to the space that worked well for Marie, her husband and outside help, while keeping it easy for the kids to access and maintain as well.

Challenges faced : We product planned these spaces on the front end based on Marie's preferences, plan for the spaces and pictures of the contents as they were still moving in. This was a bit of a challenge compared to our usual process so we went in with a few options in mind to flex with if needed, but in the end, our original plan worked beautifully!

Client’s favorite feature : She absolutely loved the mom zone within the cabinets, as well the kids' toy baskets and arts and crafts zones. We kept the toy zones relegated to each of the kids for their favorites, cards + games, and then outdoor toys as they have easy access to the backyard from this area. The outdoor toys were kept out of reach while the toy baskets were easily accessible for the kids for play and pickup. The grab and go zone in the mudroom (sunscreen, bug, snacks) were also a win for making getting out the door as easy as possible!

Stand out products : All of our product worked beautifully together in these spaces! Our canisters and turntables were standouts for both spaces and useful for a mix of items from arts and crafts to first aid and sun/bug. Another major value add was the acacia tray to keep everything Marie needs in easy reach as NEAT as possible.
