New NEAT City | Cincinnati

Thursday, August 1, 2019

It’s that time again! Launch week. This week we are launching new franchise owners and new markets! Let’s dive in to see who our new additions are.

We want to welcome Devan Miller of Cincinnati. We are thrilled she’s a part of the team. Let’s find out more about what makes her so NEAT.

NM :: Why do you want to run NEAT in your city?

DM :: I believe that being organized can make anyone’s life easier. Having a clear system in place and a home for everything makes day to day life for busy families or even single business men/women that much easier. When you don’t have to think about it, it can be life changing. I know from experience. I have been organizing my spaces with my grandmother as long as I can remember.

NM :: What did you do before NEAT?

DM :: I have been working as a corporate event planner for the last 5 years and did weddings before that!

NM :: What makes your city unique

DM :: I think Cincinnati is unique in many ways. It is a mid size city with such a small town feel. You can walk over the bridge from Northern Kentucky to Downtown Cincinnati. We have such a family oriented mid-west mentality. There is so much to do and it is such an artsy vibrant city with lots of great restaurants, breweries, and bars.

NM :: How long have you lived in your city?

DM :: Born and raised, baby!

NM :: What are your favorite places to shop in your city?

DM :: Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky have so many unique small businesses and family owned stores. I absolutely love to buy local. Elm & Iron in Over the Rhine and Best Furniture Gallery in Fort Thomas have great home goods. The Most Beautiful Thing In the World Is, Soho Boutique, Trend Boutique, The Native One, and Homage have great clothes and accessories. And since I am a foodie, I have to include my favorite local markets. Kremer’s Market has the best beer cheese around, Findlay Market is a must, and Bridgetown Finer Meats on the Westside is the best butcher in the business.

NM :: What are your favorite places to eat in your city?

DM :: Over the Rhine has great places to eat. I love The Eagle, Bakersfield, and Panino. Downtown I love Sotto, Nada, and Maplewood Kitchen for brunch. In Hyde Park I love E+O Kitchen for sushi and the best brussels sprouts and Rooted Juicery for smoothies and acai bowls. On the KY side, Camporosso, Frida 602, and Otto’s are fabulous. Last (but not least ), I love MadTree, Braxton Brewing, Unwind, or the Blind Lemon for drinks.

NM :: Show us a picture of your most organized space and tell us what it is.

DM :: My drawers are by far my most organized space and the easiest place to maintain for me. Here is a picture of my file folded jeans. That is all I can show for now since most of my drawers are empty. I am still catching up on laundry from my recent trip to Greece!

NM :: Show us a picture of your least organized space and tell us what the heck happened.

DM :: This is the top of my linen closet. It also includes some Costco products. Honestly we have a minimal amount of towels and I still can’t keep this organized. My boyfriend loves to stay organized and is definitely team NEAT, but cannot learn to fold towels to save his life. We are going to try rolling them next. I probably need to just put them in a basket and forget about it.

NM :: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?

DM :: I am definitely most excited to meet new people and build new relationships. I have always enjoyed networking and engaging with all different types of people and businesses.

NM :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?

DM :: People can expect me to be unbiased and non judgmental, but also very honest. I have seen it all so no one should ever feel uncomfortable showing me their spaces. I will always be 100% open, honest, and transparent with clients throughout the entire process.

NM :: What blog do you think we NEED to follow now and why?

DM :: If you are a foodie like me, but try to be healthy you need to follow Emily Bites. She makes tons of lightened up healthy food. If you need a good belly laugh (especially if you are a mom) you have to follow Jennifer from Life as a Rambling RedHead. For lifestyle, cooking, and cleaning I love A Bowl Full of Lemons. Lastly, just for all girly things – fun, fashion and makeup, I love Courtney Shields and Dani Austin.

Congratulations! We’re so excited to have you join NEAT!

xx
