We want to welcome Jacquelyn Bender of Charleston, South Carolina to the NEAT team. We are thrilled to have her. Let’s find out more about what makes her so NEAT.

NM :: Why do you want to run NEAT in your city?

JB ::  I’ve had the opportunity to work for the NEAT-Dallas Lakewood team and the NEAT-Atlanta team over the past year, and I fell in love with the whole process of organizing for our clients. I’m so excited to be turning that passion into a business in my favorite city, and I can’t wait to help the community of Charleston become more NEAT!

NM :: What did you do before NEAT?

JB :: I have actually already been working as a professional organizer with NEAT teams for the past year. Before that, I worked as a Regional Manager for a small business in Charleston, SC for six years - so I’m excited to combine my love for organizing with my experience of managing a business.

NM :: What makes your city unique?

JB ::  Charleston is such a special place. I was charmed by the city while attending College of Charleston and never wanted to leave. It’s the perfect size city where there’s always a festival or event to attend or a new restaurant to check out, but there’s also an amazing sense of community. There’s also several beautiful beaches, so what more could you want! In my totally unbiased ;) opinion, it’s the best place to live or at the least, to visit!

NM :: How long have you lived in your city?

JB :: I moved to Charleston in 2009, and I never wanted to leave! I lived there for 10 years before moving to Dallas and then Atlanta for a short time, but Charleston is a place that never leaves you. My husband and I are so excited to be back in our “college town” and to make it our hometown.

NM :: What are your favorite places to eat in your city?

JB :: There is no shortage of good food in Charleston. It’s honestly so hard figuring out how to fit in all the best restaurants when friends & family come into town. I would say a spot that HAS to make it onto everybody’s list is 167 RAW. I dream about their guac and pork tacos. Other dinner favorites are Le Farfalle for Italian, Renzo for pizza, and Little Jack’s for their burger. I could list an endless amount of coffee & breakfast spots, but I’d say my favorites are Harken Cafe, Hurayli, Normandy Farms, and Macaroon Boutique. Lastly, I have to mention the best bakery in Charleston - Sugar Bakeshop. You won’t want to miss trying their cookies and cupcakes!

NM :: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?

JB ::  I just can’t wait to meet and help my future clients realize the joy of having an organized home. I’ve seen the happiness and relief on client’s faces as we reveal their new NEAT spaces to them, and it’s by far the best part of the job.

NM :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?

JB :: They can expect a friendly team that is ready to make their space NEAT & functional. They don’t need to be nervous or embarrassed about their spaces as we know life gets busy, and that’s why we are there! We will turn their space into an organized, beautiful & functional space that works for their lifestyle and is sustainable for them to upkeep.

NM :: What is your favorite organizing product?

JB :: My favorite product to organize with is a turntable. They can be used in ANY space, and I love finding creative ways to use them.

We completely agree. Turntables are a great tool in any space. Congratulations on launching Charleston. We’re so excited to have you join NEAT!

xx
