New NEAT City | Columbia

Thursday, April 15, 2021

We want to welcome Meg Garcia of Columbia, South Carolina to the NEAT team. We are thrilled to have her. Let’s find out more about what makes her so NEAT.

NM :: Why do you want to run NEAT in your city?

MG ::  I have been following NEAT for a while now on Instagram and fell in love with the brand from Day 1. I love the transformation that is involved in taking a space and giving it a fresh, new style and nothing beats a professionally finished space. I also believe that being organized makes our lives (and stress levels) just a little bit better! I am beyond thrilled to bring the NEAT Method brand and services to Columbia and the surrounding area!

NM :: What did you do before NEAT?

MG :: Prior to joining NEAT, I worked for a Fortune 200 company in the voluntary benefits industry for over 12 years where I held a number of Leadership roles ranging from Sales & Marketing, Operations and Project Management.

NM :: What makes your city unique?

MG ::  What I love most about Columbia is its metropolitan size, yet small-town feel. The city is filled with history, culture and tons of local businesses that provide the best services in town! Whether you are into sports, arts, nature, lake life or a local foodie, this city offers it all. I am also fond of its many nicknames like “Soda City” and “Famously Hot” – which is true!

NM :: How long have you lived in your city?

MG :: I have lived in Columbia for the past nine years. As an Atlanta native, I relocated to Columbia in late 2012 as part of a work transfer.

NM :: What are your favorite places to eat in your city?

MG ::  There are so many amazing restaurants here in Columbia. I would say my go-to breakfast spots for breakfast/brunch are Café Strudel and Saki Tumi. For lunch, No Name Deli hands down and for dinner, my favorite spots are Cola’s or COA.

NM :: Show us a picture of your most organized space and tell us what it is.

MG :: I recently gave my hall linen closet a face lift.  I only use white towels so that everything always looks fresh and I chose a few gray bins that blend with the color palate of my house so everything flows. And of course, everything is labeled so that items can be quickly located!

NM :: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?

MG ::  I am most excited about the networking (meeting so many new people) and seeing the smile on the client’s face when the job is done! There is nothing better than seeing someone genuinely happy with your work.

NM :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?

MG :: Each client can expect to work with a team that is professional, courteous, and fun! No client should ever be embarrassed about the current state of their space; there is no judgement involved and I am here to take the work off you! You will be left with a fresh space that is not only aesthetically pleasing but is also structured in a way for you to easily maintain.

NM :: Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?

MG :: Yes, a couple! Although, I wish I could tell you I was a talented singer.  I can spin a  basketball on my finger...and most people are surprised that I played AAU basketball for 10 years growing up.  I also have a pretty green thumb and enjoy creating lavish container gardens during the spring/summer.

We can't wait to see that in person! Congratulations on launching Columbia! We’re so excited to have you join NEAT!

xx
