New NEAT City | Tulsa

Thursday, October 29, 2020

We want to welcome Tara Kohlbacher of Tulsa, OK to the NEAT team. We are thrilled to have her. Let’s find out more about what makes her so NEAT.

NM :: Why do you want to run NEAT in your city?

TK :: I love helping people transform spaces to their fullest potential!

NM :: What did you do before NEAT?

TK :: Residential interior design

NM :: What makes your city unique?

TK :: Tulsa is such a neat and thriving city!  It’s a drastically different Tulsa than it was 20 years ago.  The Gathering Place, our $465 million public park, is just one of the many attractions that makes it unique.  Tulsa is a big city with a small feel.  It’s filled with great people, activities, and businesses!

NM :: How long have you lived in your city?

TK :: I was born and raised in Tulsa.  After attending Baylor University in Texas my husband and I lived in Dallas for 11 years, and then moved back to Tulsa 5 years ago.

NM :: What are your favorite places to eat in your city?

TK :: My favorite date night spots are Laffa, Amelia’s and Stonehorse.  Favorite lunch spot is hands-down Lone Wolf.  And my family and I are “regulars” at RBar and American Solera.

NM :: Show us a picture of your most organized space and tell us what it is.

TK :: I have a glass door on my pantry so it puts a little extra pressure on how everything looks.  This system has held up well with my family of four.  Everything has a place and it’s flexible while also still looking put-together.

NM :: What about your least organized space? What the heck happened?

TK :: I’ve put this project off for far too long!  The filing cabinet is stored in an upstairs storage room, which was originally thought to be my office.  I want to get rid of the ugly cabinet and use a different system.

NM :: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?

TK :: Helping others make their space more functional and aesthetic!

NM :: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?

TK :: To problem solve and transform whatever space(s) are not working for you!

NM :: Do you have any hidden talents that we should know about?

TK :: I’m afraid I’ve become an indoor plant lady.  Every room with a window has at least one plant.  I love it aesthetically and also for the air quality purposes. In order to keep them all alive I water every Monday like clockwork.

Congratulations on launching Tulsa! We’re so excited to have you join NEAT!

xx
