As you know, we have officially launched in FOUR new cities to end this year. Each week, we will be introducing you to our newest NEAT girl! Today, we are excited to introduce you to Denver's newest organizer, Allo Perry. This is an especially proud moment for NEAT because we have wanted to launch Denver for a very long time and we are happy to have Allo join the group! We interviewed Allo so that you could get to know her a bit better this week!
NM:: Hi Allo! Two important things:: 1. Tell us about your unique name! 2.Can you tell our why you wanted to run NEAT in your city?
AP:: Of course! Allo is a nickname for Allison that I got years ago and it stuck! Denver is the perfect city for NEAT! Millions of people live here, hundreds of people are moving here each day (seriously hundreds!), and Colorado is home to a handful of the lucky ones who own vacation & mountain homes that need NEAT's attention.
NM:: Who doesn't love Colorado!? What did you do before you ran NEAT?
AP:: I currently work for Special Olympics Colorado for 5 years as it is a very rewarding experience.
NM:: So, how long have you lived in this amazing city?
AP:: Over 5 years – the time has really flown!
NM:: We know what made us excited about launching NEAT here, but in your opinion, what makes your city unique?
AP:: Let's start with the fact that we have 300 days of sunshine – I'm going to give South Florida and San Diego a run for their money on that one. The mountains are also pretty incredible and let's not forget that there are craft breweries everywhere!
NM:: 300 days of sun?! SOLD. What are your favorite places to shop in your city?
AP:: This question is easy! Melrose and Madison, Gracie's & anywhere in Cherry Creek.
NM:: Now let's get to a favorite topic for the NEAT girls – what are your favorite places to eat in your city?
NM:: Alright, let's talk organizing! Show us a picture of your most organized space and tell us what it is.
AP:: I am very type-A about my dresser. Color coding and folded shirts are a MUST for me.
NM:: Okay, time to show your true colors! Show us a picture of your least organized space and tell us what the heck happened!
AP:: Ugh, the inside of my desk! It is one tiny drawer and I throw all my miscellaneous items in there to keep the top of my desk clean. No matter how many times I clean the drawer and organize it, it never seems to stay clean!
NM:: What do you think is going to be your favorite part of running NEAT in your city?
AP:: Meeting clients and walking away from a job knowing I organized not only their house, but their life & their mind.
NM:: What can people expect when they hire you to organize their home?
AP:: A professional and honest opinion on what their space needs. Clients can expect to be completely satisfied with the finished product and will be reassured why they hired NEAT. We will leave knowing they will want more!
NM:: What is your favorite product to use to organize things?
AP:: Labels and/or Label Maker. I loveeee labeling anything and everything 🙂
NM:: What blog do you think we NEED to follow now and why?
AP:: Studio McGee– Amazing interior design blog.. One day when I make enough money to hire an interior designer, I will hire Shea McGee 🙂
NM:: What business do you admire and why?
AP:: Whole Foods Market, natural foods store started by two young kids who had nothing. Whole Foods opens it doors and supports local farmers, growers and producers to help connect the local community to the people who produce food in their area. I love the story, vision and immediate success Whole Foods Market has undergone.
NM:: Anything else you think we need to know?
AP:: I am getting married on 7/30/16!
